This book is rooted with the strong foundation of scripture combined with real-life experience. The author's wisdom and humor makes it as entertaining as it is informative. I was especially challenged by his practical examples. The hardest part of parenting is that it is so daily. This book helped me understand what I need to be committed to everyday as a father and as a follower of Jesus. It's especially challenging to be a parent in our culture today and I would highly recommend this book to help navigate the difficult waters. The author is a parenting whizist and he has taught me a lot about being a Godly father.

Realizing how 'spoiled' my child and my boyfriends children were I decided to read this to get a handle on things. It's the most insightful thing I've read and making the changes were easy. Having more appreciative caring children is a great feeling. GET THIS BOOK!

This is a very helpful book for today's family- lots of clear examples and fun suggestions for implementation of selfless principles the parent might teach his or her child. I originally bought this for personal use with my grandchildren, but also ended up using it recently as a resource for our Mother/Son banquet at church. It was a terrific source for the program we planned on intentional parenting and giving children practice lifting others up before themselves. We also gave these books as door prizes. I highly recommend this book.
