"Biography by Diana Potts
Venom began DJing in 1989, involved in the hip-hop scene. Through working at a local radio station, he met and started working with the hip-hop music director. Venom's interest in the music grew and he took it on as a full-time occupation. In 1991 with the coaxing from some fellow DJs, Venom went to his first techno/house event and immediately took to it, leaving the hip-hop world behind. In 2000, he released his first mix CD, Straight Bangin, which was followed in 2001 by House Blend, Vol. 7. Successive volumes in each series followed, as did Raise the Volume (2002), a similar mix album highlighting Venom's quick mixing and hardcore aesthetic. -AllMusicGuide.com"
and you call him a wannabe? HE'S BEEN DJing FOR TWENTY (20) YEARS! he's been DJing longer than BamBam, Irene, or anyone else you can think of more than likely. Have you listened to Straight Bangin' 1 or 2 or House Blend? you're not listening to real hard house, my friend. DJ Monk (of RITM) is another fine example of serious Hard House. BamBam is a joke, honestly... /he's/ the wannabe and if he's all that you've got to compare DJ Venom to, then i can understand your complete ignorance to hard house. BamBam was always a joke to my circle of dj's... BamBam is the Happy2BHardcore of Hard House... fN candykid garbage cuddle-puddles. Venom is a real, multi-talented VETERAN DJ, who can spin anything you throw at him (and does... he's not just what he is on his cd's), not just Hard House.
it's one thing to say you don't like something; everyone has that right. but then to say it's not good or that the artist creating it isn't requires some deep understand of both point and counterpoint or you just end up looking like a bafoon...

Oohh...It's Amazing, January 31, 2006
I saw DJ Venom (and met him, actually) the other day at a rave here in Denver and he was truly the highlite of the whole night. I just had to go out and get his album, and I must say that it was worth every penny.
It's about the sexiest techno you'll ever have the pleasure of hearing.

God bless the Venom!!, November 15, 2005
The intro blows your mind. The first track blows your ears. And every track after that sucks you back in for more. DJ Venom returns with more unadulterated SICKNESS in this second installment of "Raise The Volume." It took time for me to fully appreciate Raise The Volume 1, but this second volume will FORCE you to like it. The beats are harder, the melodies more relentless, and the mixing more insane than ever before.
This CD sports a seamless mix of deadly hard house, freaky hardcore, and even a couple drum n' bass tracks towards the end (they weren't much good, but at least Venom's trying something new...). This CD will have you bouncing, dancing, moshing, raving or whatever you do, until the end.
Just go buy it already, if you're into deep bass, high tempos, ripping synths, and smashing up parties.
Let the volume be raised to the utmost.
