How To Raise Your Child's Emotional Intelligence: 101 Ways To Bring Out The Best In Your Children And Yourself provides parents with specific guidelines for raising the emotional intelligence of their children from infancy to adolescence. It builds on the idea that parents play a crucial role in determining the emotional intelligence (EQ) of their children--not only in the way they interact with their children but in the way they manage their own emotional and social lives. Through practical suggestions, lively stories, and inspiriational quotes, How To Raise Your Child's Emotional Intelligence, gives parents realistic ways to nourish EQ as they go through the process of daily living. It is the hope of Drs. Allen and Geraldine Nagy that parents from all walks of life will use this book to inspire themselves and their partners, and to raise confident, responsible, honest, assertive, kind, and goal oriented children. Because of the warm, inspirational writing style, this book is an excellent gift for Moms, Dads, or anyone that cares about children.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"When I received this book I held it in my hands and felt its wisdom and purity of heart before I read the first word. Reading the words is a confirmation of that experience. Now I read one chapter to my six year old son every night so that I may become the father I want to be and so that my son will someday be the father I want to be now. Hold this book in your hands. Trust the experience." -- Ron Smothermon, M.D., author of Winning Through Enlightenment

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Clear re: christian based material, January 8, 2000

This review is from: How To Raise Your Child's Emotional Intelligence: 101 Ways To Bring Out The Best In Your Children And Yourself (Paperback)
If you are looking for information re: Emotional Intelligence, based in the christian view, this is a good book. I was not looking for that perspective when I purchased this book on line. The editorial review did not note that this is a christian based book and is somewhat misleading. It is also not possible to tell that this is a christian based book by the cover that is displayed on line. I would not have purchased this book if I was aware that it was christian based.
