Absolutely Amazing!,

I bought this CD on a whim after watching a PBS special on Sweet Honey in the Rock, and absolutely love it. The group has an amazing, cohesive, in-tune sound. Buy this CD for "Ship of Zion", "Harry Moore", and "Women Gather". A must have!

I have been a long time fan of Sweet Honey, and only recently purchased this CD. I was very happy to hear that this CD is just as wonderful as the others I own.
I also enjoy listening to a recording of a live show, and how Sweet Honey interacts with the audience. In "Chant" the audience is enlisted to help with a round, and the result is an amazing auditory experience - I only wish I had been there. I would list my favorite tracks, but that is almost half the CD. Basically, if you are a fan of Sweet Honey, get this CD, you'll definitely enjoy it and find yourself singing along. |
