For myself I found this book very useful. I have a piece of land that is subject to flooding so I was considering making some raised beds. This book gives a good points to consider to decide to do or not. I found the 10 reasons very compelling. A few would never of crossed my mind and each was a strong reason to make one. Every gardener should take a look at this book

No how-to in this book. Just a clean, straight list of reasons to consider when designing a garden. It was a great list, short and quick, but direct and covered many aspects I have not considers. It definitely opened my eyes, and makes me seriously consider the raised beds for our next garden.

Hobbies include, gardening, fly fishing, playing guitar, and D.I.Y. Oh and of course,...writing!

Writing has become his main passion these days, and he especially loves to write from his own experiences, that includes anything from gardening to building to Bible studies - The 'Spotlight on the Prophets' series, and The Bible Brief, a Bible Summary / study book, being two examples of the latter books.

The core gardening tips are included in this book, and that is what any novice gardening could ask for. I am not a novice, but I like checking out thing that I may have missed when something has gone wrong with a plant.

I've often thought about doing raised bed gardening. After 2 spinal chord surgerys it's very difficult for me to bend down for traditional gardening. After reading and following some of the techniques in this book I tried the raised bed system this year and became hooked.
