Unlike the plethora of parenting books on the market today, this inspirational treatise stands apart. Parenting educator Slovie Jungreis-Wolff has transmitted (with great love) the timeless Torah wisdom that she's been imparting to her students for the past 13 years.

Having been raised in a home completely imbued with Torah concepts, Mrs. Wolff's experience becomes her most treaured oracle. There is no doubt that the hedonistic cultural and societal norms that engulf us often pose a great danger to our children in terms of moral and ethical development. Slovie's guidance in creating a truly happy home vis a vis Torah directives allows us a unique perspective on what true happiness really means.

Many parents today are truly unhappy campers themselves, having not been nurtured in homes where true and unconditional love are the order of the day. Discipline and self-control have given way to unabashed selfishness that manifests itself in complete immersion in the material world. You don't have to be Jewish or have any familiarity with Torah to get a great deal from what is written here. This compelling page turner teaches that experiencing and teaching gratitude and appreciation is not beyond our capabilities and that with some effort we can manage to raise children with exemplary character traits.

This book is a life changing book filled with wise sayings and thoughts about how to instill real values in your kids and not just taking the quick way out by buying them things. In short it helps you give your kids the logistical and educational environment to make correct choices.

This is a tremendous book. Light reading, but a lot of deep meaning. There are a lot of insights into family and children's behavior.

I really enjoy the "voice" of this author and her mother, too. Both of them write as if you are sitting down with them over a coffee for a good, yet serious, talk. So much of the book raises to a concious level what I strive to impart and provide my child daily. Its comforting to "hear" from a Torah source outside family and friends.

Whether you are Jewish or not, this book will speak to you if you are looking to raise a child with character and substance. This would be a great gift for any parents who have this goal in mind.

A wounderful book on raising up children, confessing the right words in their lives.really shows the importance of proclaiming blessings on our children.No wonder the jews are really blessed!!!!!

The messages in this book are wonderful: its full of ideas of ways to infuse one's home with spirituality and meaning, and it certainly got me excited about taking on more religious commitments. I'm not giving it five stars, however, because a lot of the examples are a little simplistic: extreme scenarios where it would be obvious to any person that what was needed was more spirituality and less materialism. Overall, though, an inspiring, thought-provoking book.
