This review is from: Raising the Global Floor: Dismantling the Myth That We Can't Afford Good Working Conditions for Everyone (Stanford Politics and Policy) (Hardcover)
Heymann & Earle make a compelling business case for rethinking benefits and working conditions for workers around the world including the United States. They clearly document through well-researched examples how doing well by one's employees positively impacts the bottom-line and how not doing so actually undermines future economic success because of the negative impacts on the next generation coming up when their parents must choose between feeding their children and raising them. Heymann & Earle show how doing both is good for business.
