5.0 out of 5 stars Very practical! April 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Carey Scott's parenting advice is realistic, helpful, and simple, even if making the changes I need to make are not easy. I appreciate that she writes in a style that meets me right where I am and challenges me to be a better parent without making me feel guilty or small.

These topical devotions are brief, but full of great advice and wisdom.

A must read for any mom or dad that wants to raise their kids to be like Jesus, and needs someone to walk that road with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars quick, fun read. July 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is a reinforcement on what it takes to raise a godly kid. Somethings in the book are intuitive and some parts give a great example on how to really live out a godly role or example. My heart laughed at the funny parts and it ached at the more sad or serious parts. I loved that it wasn't too deep but I can see how the author is trying to get you to evaluate your own life so that you really can raise your own godly child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Getting it Real! April 10, 2013
By Cindi
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Carey has a way of writing that (as the book title suggests) is just REAL! I love that about her writing. There are no masks and hiding the ugly parts of raising kids. She explains raising Godly kids in a very understandable, do-able kind of way. Loved this book as a reference to raising my little ones. Thanks! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Wisdom! May 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a great resource with new ideas that I've implemented in my own family. I especially appreciated the part about "blessing" your children each day. I have been doing this with my son since reading the book and it is helping his self-confidence and decreasing my worries about him while he's at school!
