Book Description

January 1999
A family of five. Healthy environment. Loving, supportive parents. The kids grow, one follows the Lord but the other two-for now-are far from His presence. What went wrong? Were Mom and Dad too permissive, too authoritarian, uninvolved? How can parents raise kids who truly love Jesus? Best-selling authors Norm Wright and Gary Oliver point out that in the ninth grade, 80% of Protestant kids polled said they believe that Jesus is the risen Savior. By the time they turned 18, however, only 20 percent said they were still committed to Christ. Raising Kids to Love Jesus is an in-depth road map for concerned parents wanting to give their children the tools it takes to emerge from their youth as passionate lovers of Christ.

This review is from: Raising Kids to Love Jesus: A Biblical Guide for Parents (Paperback)
Very practical and timely book for any Christian parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher...anyone involved in kids' lives. The authors are very much in tune with the dynamics of Christian families and they touch on every important point that you will want to know. You will grow in your own walk with Christ and will be a living, breathing example to your kids after reading this book and following its guidelines. Very inspiring book, very thought-provoking, and a wonderful "handbook" for anyone desiring to lead little ones to Christ. I highly recommend it both as a mother and as a Sunday school teacher.
