Great Book! Paul A. Ibbetson "The Conscience of Kansas radio program",
This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Daddy Doug Giles has created a book with sound traditional values for raising daughters that is wrapped in his own unconventional and aggressively honest delivery. This is book that places a long-needed emphasis on fathers to man up on their parental responsibilities. The Giles philosophy will not be popular with the feminists, but then again, that's usually a sign you're on the right track. Giles also gets very real on the issue of teenage sex and the lifelong ramifications of being morally loose in the pursuit of love, respect and inclusion among bottom feeders that are experiencing the apex of their lives as teenagers. Yes, these are the losers.
The author ends the book with an application for permission to date his daughters. It's as knee slapping funny as it is thought provoking. Doug Giles's book, Raising Righteous & Rowdy Girls, is a creative fusion of humor, truth, passion and repetitious violations of political correctness. Yes, there is something endearing about conservatives that don't mince words, who aren't afraid to take the battle to today's liberals with almost reckless abandon. Raising Righteous & Rowdy Girls is a book worthy of any patriot parent's library.

Parents Need This Book,
This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears aren't good role models for young women. I sometimes wonder about their fathers--shouldn't an entertainment show do a program on how the fathers of these fallen stars went wrong? Or, better yet, do a program on what Doug Giles did right; after all, Doug's daughters are outstanding role models. Both are classy, intelligent ladies of action. All that is why I picked up this book. But when I found out--chapter by chapter--how Doug molded his daughters to be all they are, I began recommending this book to parents everywhere. This is not a preachy, passive-voice diatribe; it's an active, fun read that's an antidote to pop-culture's dark side.

A great read. A no-holds barred ride into true manhood from the Alpha-Dad himself. Giles kills on every page, lacing practical wisdom with the righteous indignation of a Father who has been paying attention. With the American horizon looking more and more like it's been painted with Rembrandt colors, Righteous & Rowdy gives us a road-map out of the apathetic morass of floundering, feminized fatherhood. Refreshing as it is hilarious, I can fully guarantee you won't yawn once or even park a bookmark in it because once you open it, you're not putting it down. Save the highlighter though, or the whole book will be neon yellow.
This book is not for the shiny, happy Christian who plays a game called Church. What it is: a throwback to that potent brand of Christianity that overturned pagan empires and turned the world upside down. If you're light in the loafers or you lack testicular fortitude, this book will expose you to the fetal position patriarch that secular humanism has made of you; and that feeling in the pit of your stomach will be the overwhelming sense of inadequacy that you have as a part-time, half ass Dad. Don't get mad; allow this to be the grapefruit-in-the-face symposium that God meant for you to read. Thanks Doug for calling us Out. I'm paying attention.

Righteous Dad- posted by Don,

This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Simply put, it felt good reading this book as it reminded me of myself and let me know there are those with a mind set like mine when it comes to our daughters and this pathetic down hill race society. I recommend this book to any man who cherishes his daughter and wonders if he is raising them right and will they be tough enough when Dad is gone. This book put a smile on face and instilled more of a "fatherly" attitude toward being a man's man regarding raising children and still honoring the Almighty Father. This society is becoming what it is because of the lack of Fathers in the Family and the protection of our criminals and the guise behind affirmative action and Political correctness; wrong is wrong regardless of the slimly "entitlement" laws the so-called authorities have put in our lives. Is there hope for this country; unfortunately I do not see any at the moment; but as Doug says we are forewarned and need to be prepared for the on-slaught unintelligent "give to me" generation of fatherless whose real fathers are the "elite" in washington today. Thank you for the inspiration Doug and keep up the Walk for Him and your children. HIGHLY recommended this book as a simple wake up call to the MEN in our once great country.

A Seriously Great 'How To' Manual,
By
This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Doug Giles isn't for everybody - unfortunately because most people lack the intestinal fortitude to admit what they already know to be true in their gut, mainly that modern society is running on empty in the morals department. Here he gives us a hard charging 'How To' manual on raising gals in the dangerous waters of 'Post Modern' America. Yeah, an America where most parents are just as ducky with the prospect of Kim Kardashian & Lindsay Lohan giving their gals 'growing up advice' as they are some dipstick liberal loser from the Highland Park school system who waxes on positive about the 'Vagina Monologues' in the middle of math class.
See, raising girls is hard, dang tough - I know, I've got 3, myself - and that's because too many modern enlightened fathers (if they even have one) allow their little monster-male offspring to walk our streets almost as morally bankrupt as a George Romero zombie. (I said "almost" to be kind so as to not lose the audience!) Doug Giles has just given us the best combat manual I've ever seen to lay these brain dead testosterone night stalkers to waste. Dads, don't let that lovely, wonderful, most precious thing on planet Earth to you go unprotected. Get the manual, check Doug's advice out, you will not be disappointed! A great read for any parent. This guy is funny and a little crude... but he tells it like it is. He gives great advice on raising young woman and encourages me as a mother to let my husband do his thing as a father. Once again, I have to accept he will not be a mother to them; he will be a father and I should support that. This book does a great job giving him some guidance and confirmation.

Raising Warrior Queens,

This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Doug Giles does a fantastic job of encouraging dads to step up to their righteous God-given role as Lord Protector of their household. In this practical guide to raising the perfect mix of young lady and warrior woman, Giles points out that if fathers don't take an active role in their daughter's life that they will seek to fill that void from someone else. And unfortunately there is a multitude of mouth breathing, unmotivated, wussified chimps out there more than willing to fill that void with ill-desired intentions. Mr. Giles brings a common sense approach to raising a young lady with traditional values but also with the discernment to spot "the date from hell". I encourage fathers to read this humorous yet practical guide to raising their daughters to be righteous with sharp minds and wits but to also have a rowdy spirit likened unto the celtic warrior queen Boudica.

Finally! Reality with perspective!,
This review is from: Raising Righteous and Rowdy Girls (Perfect Paperback)
Moms or dads with daughters- get this book and help enable your little girl to blossom into the incredible and powerful young woman who can set her own path to success and happiness! Higher-intellect humor a la Dennis Miller, and a blast of reality like a ball-peen hammer- right between the eyes!
I know Doug's daughters personally, and would be a proud man if my daughters turned out as his have. If I can spend a paltry $15 for a few (or a few hundred as is the case) pearls to set them straight on their way... shoot- who wouldn't? Get the book- you won't be disappointed!
