This is THE book to read on how to raise your children to be thinking, purposeful, and character filled children. This NOT a "how-to" book - instead it teaches you the way in which to think about and approach your parenting - it is a true paradigm shift! I've applied all that I have read in this book, and have never looked back! Don't miss it!

I have bought many books on the subject of parenting and some of them are tough to get through. Others are easy reads but I walk away with little that I can apply to my life as a mother. With this book I couldn't put it down and I find that I have been thinking differently as I parent and that it has made me see who my children are as individuals and how I can best help them grow to be the people they are meant to be. This is a must-read for all moms (with children young or older). I have given a copy to several friends as gifts and they have all been so thankful.

Instead of giving a list of do's and don'ts or formulas, this book teaches the correct mindset of being a mother. The things that you do, then just follow in place. It helps you to focus on the big picture of raising your children. I wish I had had this book when my older two children were growing up. But I now have the insight of looking back and seeing that the things that Catherine Hickem has written about are true. I would recommend this book to any parent.
