Book 1. Wedding night Revenge/ Book 2. The Unknown Wife/ Book 3. A Scandalous Marriage/ Book 4. The rake & the Rebel. All of these books are excellent and are about the lives & loves of the Meredith Sisters. All Heroes & Heroines keep popping up in each of the novels, so you really get involved in each book with all the members of the family, that is why I would recommend that you start with book #1, it makes the other books then so much more interesting, as you are familiar with all the friends & foes of the family. All the books are definite keepers & well worth the money.

Slow start but a great read.,

I made notes to myself as I read with this review in mind. During the first few chapters these notes were all negative. (A master at stating the obvious. Subtlety and finesse are all too rare. Short declarative sentences dominate. Does not flow. Poor descriptive writing. Shallow characters. Stilted writing. Unbelievable scenarios.) Then, something magical happened. It was like the ugly weeds dominating my garden suddenly began to blossom and fill the space with beautiful flowers and fragrant scents.As I continued to read I became immersed in the story. The characters came to life before my eyes. Everything became totally believable and I couldn't put my Kindle down. Although there were some elements of "boilerplate romance novel" present they did not predominate. I was very pleased that Ms. Brendan produced a "clean" romance novel by honoring virtue and keeping sex within the bonds of matrimony where it belongs. Even though this work was a "slow starter" it rates a firm four stars on my rating scale.

I didnt feel the characters developed enough...It went from one minute to dislike to absolute devotion and love in an instance...not very believable.
