Excellent versions of classic Egyptian belly dance music. Perfect for dancing, great for listening. This entire series belongs in the collection of every fan of Middle Eastern Dance and music.

After buying Jalilahs first and second albums, I knew I was going to be in for a real treat with the third. And I was absolutely correct!! This CD will have you bumping your hips... shimmying...dancing! All the songs are great.This Cd has authentic saudi music and cenima inspired pieces,Fabulous!Ideal for devoted dancers and middle eastern enthusiasts! If your a belly dancer this is a must have for your collection!

I loved this work - i am a belly-dancer and use this CD ALOT! If you are dancing there are plenty of 10 min sections that you can use. In fact, i'm dancing in a couple of weeks and using this CD for a 40th birthday party!

dancing....as a dancer it would be a good idea to grab her whole series....it's well worth it!

This is my new favorite bellydance cd. Great extended version of Alf Leyla wi Leyla, which is not a techno version like all the other CD's I've heard. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful cd-If you are a fan of traditional/old-style bellydance music like me, then this a must for your collection! This is the type of music you will hear when watching "golden-era" arabic movies.

Journey of the Gypsy Dancer is a classic for the Jalilah series. She has captured the sound and feel of the Classic Egyptian Music "Tamra El Henna" (Henna Flower) For those of you who love middle eastern music and dance, this CD is for you. This music is uncomplicated and harkens back to a time where dancers were paving the way for modern dance today. The music still holds some traditional sounds and rhythms, and is not fussy with "canned" sounds. The arabic singers take a good stab at imitating Om Khoultum. The music captures the sweetness of Tahia Karioka as she dances along the silver screen. There is one song where you can imagine "sailing" along the nile with your veils!

I actually just bought it for one song. I need it for my class. It is ok, not my favorite though..
