Might be a good flashlight, but a it's a poor spotlight. Received one as a gift, charged it according to instructions and the light was powerful when used in short spans of time, unfortunately the first time I used it as a spotlight to guide my boat, it went dim after about 5 minutes and was useless. Charged several more times with the same results. Contacted Rally was advised needed receipt which being a gift I didn't have, also the unit needs to be returned prepaid which doesn't make it economically feasible.

This is a well designed and built spotlight. It feels good to hold in your hand. It feels substantial and well balanced.
After charging, the light was very bright and it can illuminate objects half a city block away easily for 15 minutes continously. The LED were great for walking around, and lasted for hours on a fresh charge.

However, my spotlight worked great for a couple of weeks, and then the problem started. At first, the battery won't hold a charge for more than 3-4 days after a full overnight charge. Eventually, it won't hold a charge at all. Now, I have a $20 paper weight. i never charge the battery more than overnight, so I dont think I over charged it.

A new 4 volt lead/acid battery can be purchased for $12 (including tax & shipping), but I'm not sure how long the new battery is going to last. I havent decided if I should just buy a new LED flashlight or a new replacement battery yet, but this product was sure disappointing...

I don't know that this light could be classified as a flashlight, but that is how I consider it. It provides a tremendous amount of focused light and a lot of use before it needs to be recharged. I have one inside the house that I recharge with the wall charger and another light in the car with the cigarette lighter recharger. I like this light so much that I gave one to my son. It definitely beats ordinary flashlights, hands down.Rally Manufacturing 7211 1M Spot Light

I beleive with a decent battery ( fresh/new ) it will hold an honest 30 minutes of bright light. If yours is not providing that duration you must have a bad battery and it will perfrom much better when you replace the battery. I can illuminate subject over 500 feet away. At 200 feet it makes the area you are lighting as bright as day. The trigger is easy to use and balance feel to light is fairly well balanced. When the trigger for light becomes intermettient it is time for a recharge. It will still illuminate if you keep trying but you are severly taxing the battery. I plan to obtain another to carry in my auto for those just in case scenarios. My intial battery when I purchased mine was dead. I have no clue how long it sat on a shelf and as it is wired to its circuit whatever charge they have in them apparantly depletes before some customers get to buy them. That is the only truly bad feature about my light.. I had to buy a new battery for it to get it to work. I was given a full refund to break even on buying a new battery with shipping. Not all business will be that accomdating.

Bought this light and charged it for the 12 hours as per instructions. The light would only come on for less then a minute and then would fade to nothing. Tried charging longer and never got it to shine at what would be called a usable brightness.
