Yes, very excited, glad we get both the mono mix and Thrillington. And the DVD looks very nice too.

Very interesting. Now, I just hope this U$102 price tag gets fixed. Can't be right.

I think it's gonna be around $75. Just wait and see, it will lower.

The price will go down, Artur. It always does. The first three sets did and it's currently $69.98 on another online store.

Posted on Mar 21, 2012 2:08:27 PM PDT
Yeah, I've got both the last ones at preorder and it was 49.99 each.

Man, I hope the price comes down! Cannot wait till this comes out!

I wonder what color the book is going to be. So far we've had "Band On The Run" in brown, "McCartney" in red, and "McCartney II" in blue. Maybe yellow?

Posted on Mar 22, 2012 6:18:57 PM PDT
Orange, I think.

Very awesome. They're really going all out for this reissue series, and it's nice to see the mono mix become available. I have to wonder why, however, there are two vinyl versions. Why not one, 3 LP release?

I dont know why Paul didnt include the mono mix and dvd in the cheaper special edition, or just make a 3 disc edition like Band On The Run.....I don't really need a giant book. Does he really need to make more money off of us ??

Why is it when consumers are unhappy with a the price of a limited/deluxe edition, the next words out of their mouths are invariably a whine about how the artist is already so rich, yadda, yadda, yadda. If you don't need a giant book, fine, but then you don't get a commercial copy of the mono mix or the DVD - that's why it's a DELUXE edition.

While Macca will certainly be making a nice sum from each copy sold, Concord Music and the retailers that choose to sell them are hoping to make a profit as well. Do they really need to make more money off us? That's for you to decide...

I don't care if its $102 - it is worth it definitely. Where is Oh Woman, Oh Why? Great B-side! I love Ram - one of my favorites!

There's a perfect cd bootleg of the mono Ram circulating sourced from the original vinyl (declicked, etc...) along with all the "Brung To Ewe" radio spots and it sounds fine to me.....who knows if the official release will sound the same, or even worse?

Eric Hawley says:
Oh Woman, Oh Why is the 2nd track on the second disc. I wish they would have included the '05 live Too Many People/She Came In Through The Bathroom Window medley and the live Ram On from the past couple of tours. I'm still psyched though, the mono Ram will be cool. I have a boot of it, but the quality is something to be desired.

I have the Mono Ram on CD with the Brung To Ewe radio spots - Its supposed to be a Japanese import on standard CD - the RAM mono does sound awesome. I guess 'Give Ireland Back to the Irish' will be on Wild Life.

I hope the DVD will have more footage of the rehaersals in early 1972. Not just a few seconds of a couple of songs we have already seen before.

I have what you are talking about. I cannot imagine it being "improved". Have to wait and see....

Stephen, I was 9 years old when my parents bought the album in 1971. My parents loved Paul & The Beatles, so, this album was played all the time in our house. First McCartney solo album I remember hearing. Great memories! Cannot wait until May!!! "Piss of cake, eh, eh, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Rehearsals from 1972? That was Wings, also likely to show up on Wild Life. I hope/expect Rode All Night is the full version. Great outtake!

I was kinda hoping to see a demo or alternate take / mix of Uncle Albert but apparently not...unless that song went by a different name at first ?

M. McKay says:
Well Paul is apparently going to release a couple of box sets of outtakes in a few years. He's got this reissue campaign set to last until 2016!

T. Marquand says:
Why does it say "1" next to "number of discs" under "Product details" for the MacCartney Ram Book Edition? Shoudn't say 5 (4 CD's, 1 DVD)?

T. Marquand says:
Can't wait for this one.
