Very awesome. They're really going all out for this reissue series, and it's nice to see the mono mix become available. I have to wonder why, however, there are two vinyl versions. Why not one, 3 LP release?
I dont know why Paul didnt include the mono mix and dvd in the cheaper special edition, or just make a 3 disc edition like Band On The Run.....I don't really need a giant book. Does he really need to make more money off of us ??
Why is it when consumers are unhappy with a the price of a limited/deluxe edition, the next words out of their mouths are invariably a whine about how the artist is already so rich, yadda, yadda, yadda. If you don't need a giant book, fine, but then you don't get a commercial copy of the mono mix or the DVD - that's why it's a DELUXE edition.
While Macca will certainly be making a nice sum from each copy sold, Concord Music and the retailers that choose to sell them are hoping to make a profit as well. Do they really need to make more money off us? That's for you to decide...
There's a perfect cd bootleg of the mono Ram circulating sourced from the original vinyl (declicked, etc...) along with all the "Brung To Ewe" radio spots and it sounds fine to me.....who knows if the official release will sound the same, or even worse?
Oh Woman, Oh Why is the 2nd track on the second disc. I wish they would have included the '05 live Too Many People/She Came In Through The Bathroom Window medley and the live Ram On from the past couple of tours. I'm still psyched though, the mono Ram will be cool. I have a boot of it, but the quality is something to be desired.
I have the Mono Ram on CD with the Brung To Ewe radio spots - Its supposed to be a Japanese import on standard CD - the RAM mono does sound awesome. I guess 'Give Ireland Back to the Irish' will be on Wild Life.
Stephen, I was 9 years old when my parents bought the album in 1971. My parents loved Paul & The Beatles, so, this album was played all the time in our house. First McCartney solo album I remember hearing. Great memories! Cannot wait until May!!! "Piss of cake, eh, eh, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
