RAMAKRISHNA belived there were as many ways to God as there were ideologies. He preached detached dutifulness. He believed that the only goal of human life is realisation of God. He encouraged his followers to serve God through service of their fellow human beings less fortunate than themselves. His famous disciple. Swami Vivekananda, founded an entire order of socially active monks, the Ramakrishna Mission, in his name.

5.0 out of 5 stars When Ramakrishna spoke people listened., September 25, 2008
This book is a collected sayings of the bengali sage - ramakrishna. I loved it and read and re-read all. It is said that Ramakrishna went even too far when he entered Samadhi. It was like a drug to him, he became obsessed with it, but would you not read what he had to say? Despite to his obsession and folly of loving god too much, he entered samadhi early and with amazing ease.
