THE MATHEMATICAL FACE OF GOD,
By Dhruv Shangari (Burnaby, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ramanujan's Notebooks: Part I (Hardcover)
This book is an absolute jewel and personifies mathematical beauty. I would recommend this book for anybody who has some experience in analytic number theory and analysis.Srinivas Ramanujan Aiyanger was definitely India's greatest mathematician and the greatest all time in terms of pur mathematical genius. Hailing from a small village in India, he never even recieved university education and yet discovered independently results of Gauss, Euler and other mathematical greats while still in his teenage years. Had it not been for his untimely death at the tender age of 32, there is no doubt he would have become the greatest of all time.
