I felt like going back to my childhood, trapped by this amazing, wonderful epic tale. So simple, at the same time, so deep. I highly recommend it, give it to your children too. Once they start, they will not stop until finish. Full of excitement for children and moral values so needed nowadays.

Normally I would not buy anything that is abridged. However I have several copies and translations of this epic. I would not buy a secondary paraphrase of the epic, as it is too important to the telling of the message(s) across. This picture book is worth the looking. The back cover describes "Ramayana as 'Rama's Travels'.
This work is divided in the established six books and tells the tail in a smooth manner so that you would knot know what is missing. There are charts and tables to help you know who the players are and lots of colorful pictures. There is very little distraction of someone trying to tell you want you are reading. Ranchor Prime distributes many books of similar quality.
