About the Author

Chayim J. Henoch studied in the Mirrer Yeshiva in Shanghai, China, during World War II, and later, in New York until 1950. He then transferred to Yeshiva Isaac Elchanan and received smicha in 1954. He taught Talmud and related subjects at his Alma Mater for many years. Rabbi Henoch earned his doctorate in psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University in 1962, and certificates in Individual and Group Psychotherapy from the Postgraduate Center of Mental Health in 1968. Presently, Rabbi Henoch is in private practice in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, where he lives with his wife, Deborah. He has four children and five grandchildren. He is the author of a study on Nachmanides in Hebrew, Ramban, KeHoker Ukemekubal, (Ariel, Jerusalem, 1979).
