Mendo Plus, July 24, 2005
This review is from: Ramblin Heart (Audio CD)
A "new" release in 2005. Not quite. Half the tracks are from Mendo Hotel (1996). The record company cal it a compilation on the liner notesTwo of the new ones are written by Furry Lewis and Jimmy Cliff, so it's hardly been prolific song writing in the last 9 years. That said, I bought it thinking it was all new stuff and I'm still not disappointed. Great vocals and brilliant guitar on ALL tracks. My favourite: The acoustic slide on "Goin' to Brownsville". Mendo Hotel was 25 years after solo LP NO.1. So 9/10 Years for half a new one is getting better. Roll on 2010 for No.3!

Wonderful Artist, March 31, 2007

I never get tired of Wayne's music... Terribly underrated artist that definitely deserves a bigger audience. Great Lyrics and music... 46 years old and this one is in my top 10 albums I take with me everywhere.
