Flutie, forget CDs and stick to TDs,

I bought the CD for my husband, who loves rock music and Doug Flutie equally. He didn't even try to pretend it was something he would listen to if I hadn't given it to him. The songs are all mediocre in writing, vocals and mixing, and they all sound alike. Only die-hard Flutie fans will be able to afford as much license as is needed to enjoy this album.

Not The Best, Not The Worst,

I'll be the first to admit, I didn't buy the album for the music. I bought it for the people who are in the band. Overall, the music wasn't that bad. It tends to border the musical territory between country and rock. I found "I've Had It All", "Talk About Love" and "Great American Dream" to be rather catchy little ditties. As a whole, I found the album disappointing after hearing Michael Gauvin Smith's and Tom Groleau's work with the Mudhens, but I've heard things a whole lot worse.

The band is solid and it's nice to see Doug and Darren back together again...(read on pls...),

But I'd have rather seen them back on the
FIELD together like with the B.C. Lions back in '91, in the CFL. Darren and Doug do well here and the other NON- Fluties give it that good old fashion try. A collectors item for sure. But Terry Bradshaw singing is better! |
