5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful performances, November 26, 2005

This review is from: Rameau: Pieces De Clavecin en Concerts (Audio CD)
The performances on this CD are wonderful. The musicians are true to the performance practices of the day. The mixing is good. The harpsichord can be heard clearly, as can the low register of the gamba. I've heard many versions of the Pièces de Clavecin en Concerts, including a horrendous sounding one by Jean-Pierre Rampal and Isaac Stern (great musicians, but stay away from Rameau with your metal flute, your rabid vibrato, and your A440s), and this is THE one to get.
