5.0 out of 5 stars Rampage of the Mountain Man
Like other books published since William Johnstone's death this is as good as ever: I only wish the heirs of Ralph Compton had been as careful in selecting someone to complete/prepare his outlines for publishing. the ones now being published in his name are not a patch on his own work. No-one who has been put off by those need fear buying the new William Johnstone books...

1.0 out of 5 stars obviosly written by the co-author
the style, the shallow characterizations, even the way characters from previous books interact, all differ from the earlier books in the series. might have been barely passable as a story if the previous books hadn't given me certain expectations, but the writing felt amateurish.

I love all the Johnstone books. The only thing I have a problem with is that in books further down the line, there are lead ins in the story that come from the other books, that I may not have read, too much info means I may not want to read that book.

I can't review or really rate this book as it was a gift so I don't know anything about it.
