This product stinks. I bought it thinking that it would be a good solution to mounting a Hi-Lift jack on my Jeep JK, but after 2 weeks of using it was just a waste of $50, and a massive safety hazard. Here are the problems I encountered with it:

1. There is no way to lock the Jack to the mount, which with the stock mounting screws someone could walk away with the jack in 10 seconds flat.
2. The wing-nuts to mount the base of the jack that came with it would not stay tight. To mount the bottom of the jack to the supporting plate you get essentially to wing-nuts, one is attached to a threaded screw rod. These would constantly come loose, I would have to tighten them daily. Finally, they came undone one day while I was driving and just fell off. I replaced it with a hex-head bolt, a hex nut, and a couple washers, which worked great, and never came loose again.
3. The hardware to mount the shaft of the jack to the vehicle consisted of a a bolt, a couple washers, a spacer and nut mounted inside of a hand knob. Again, I could never get this tight enough, it constantly came loose. You would know when it came loose because it would bounce against the bracket attached to the tailgate making such a loud noise as you were driving that you would think the tailgate was coming off. Finally after tightening it several times a day for a week the bolt inside the plastic nob separated from the knob and pulled through the jack, leaving the top totally disconnected and flailing about while I was driving. I replaced the supplied hardware with a hex bolt, a couple washers, and a hex nut. After that I had no more issues with it coming loose.
4. It broke. After 2 weeks of messing with the mount to make it safe and secure, I got to take it on a light off-roading trip down some backwoods unpaved forest roads. Half-way through our drive we hit a minor bump and heard the terrible sound from the tailgate. After stopping to look we realized the mounting bracket had now broken in half.
