Book Description

Ryan O'Hara is a Army Green Beret who is suffering from war wounds and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has been placed on convalescent leave and is traveling across America killing former members of a Marxist domestic terrorist organization responsible for the murder of a San Francisco Police Sergeant, four decades earlier. The police sergeant was O'Hara's grandfather and his death destroyed O'Hara's family.

Now Ryan O'Hara is evening the score and bringing the same terror down on the terrorists that they brought down on society. He uses different methods to kill his prey including arson, gunshot and bombing.

Along the way he encounters a group of disillusioned former intelligence and military operatives who are after some of the same people albeit for different reasons. He allies himself with them and together they carry out their deadly mission in such a manner that suspicion focuses on the office of the Chief of Staff to the President of the United States.

This is a violent tale of vengeance and delayed justice made necessary by a failed system that allows treasonous murders to escape punishment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Justice Has Finally Arrived! May 8, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is a page turner from the outset, start it and you won't want to put it down. James R. Pera weaves a violent tail of retribution and belated justice that has the reader eager to see which enemy of America is next and how Ryan O'Hara will dispatch them. This book is a MUST read, put it on my recommended reading list! Hope to see more books of this order by Mr. Pera!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Rampage of Ryan O'Hara August 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The main character in the book was Ryan O'Hara, a green beret soldier recovering from wounds received in combat. His grandfather a police officer was murdered a leftist militant group in the 1960s. He goes about eliminating the murders one by one, in the most creative ways.

He also kills off some escaped convict murders along the way. The book is written by a retired police officer. It reads easily and is well worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read, looking forward to the next October 20, 2012

This is a great read. I like how the author leaves the reader wondering about the background of the protagonist for a few chapters. The book contains violent scenes and adult language, but that enhances the "shoot-em-up" style of dealing with the bad guys. This is definitely a "guy" book. I'm glad to have been introduced to this author, and look forward to his next work!

2.0 out of 5 stars awful February 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
i thought this was a terrible book. a guy going around killing bad guys because the justice system fail to do so. made him just as bad as the people he killed, in my opinion. all of the name calling was was so totally over the top.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read! March 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book and its character, Ryan O'Hara, strike close to home in many ways.

A SOF veteran of both OEF and OIF, O'Hara sets out to avenge the death of his beloved Grandfather in a manner which will keep you turning page after page until you're done with the book.

Altogether a nice change of pace from the unrealistic mass produced stuff you find on the book shelves these days!

Great first book for Mr. Pera - here's to more.

RLTW!

Good plot, credible characters and an "in your face" assassin. Would benefit with better editing, but good entertainment, airport literature.
