This small log periodic yagi is ideal for getting the maximum performance out of any UHF to low frequency microwave wireless system. The directional property "compresses" the signal into a powerful beam that is 4 times more powerful in the desired direction. It is the ideal antenna for scanners, wireless LAN's, and other wireless devices. Its directional properties make it exceptional well suited for point to point links. Constructed on rugged FR-4 material, it requires no tuning and has no fragile antenna elements to break or twist! Covers the entire 900 to over 2,500 MHz frequency range! Its small size and wide bandwidth also make it ideal for feeding reflector antennas. This antenna has an gain of 6dB across its entire range. After we got the right connectors, we hooked up one of these babies to a wireless access point we use here, it's just a standard consumer 802.11b device. When we replaced one of the little whip antennas with the Logi, directionally we got more than 2x the distance using a standard internal antenna PC Card. That's pretty good! When we tried the Logi with a simple, inexpensive reflector using the same gear... We ran out of room to test it! At 1/2 mile away, using a standard PC Card, nothing special, we still had 100% signal! So, if you need to make a link across the street, or into the next town... this antenna may be for you!
