5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to Build - Works Well
This is a fun kit to build. Like all Ramsey kits, it has a complete instruction manual that gives you step by step build instructions, as well as some introduction to the electronic theory that went in to the design. You can expect to spend two to three hours working on the kit. I built this kit over the holidays with my 12 year old nephew. It was a lot of fun and he...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for its price
As advertised it does what it says it can do it is a trifield meter which is a good thing for ghost hunters they can shift to the magnetic settings which eliminates a lot of extra emfs like from electrical wires cell phones etc..but it is only good if you are a bit tight on cash and you cant afford a digital or natural trifield meter which will actually give you...

It was a lot of fun and he and the other kids had a great time locating magnetic and electric fields through out the house. We didn't find any ghosts. There is a lot of soldering involved in building this kit, so if you don't have a fume extractor it would probably be worthwhile getting one before building this kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good project., December 21, 2011

First of all, this is an electronic project. It took me two (2) hours to build this very interesting project. It works just like the manufacturer said it would work. The TFM3 is not really a meter but more akin to a sensor. It senses what its supposed to sense and it is very sensitive. I brought it to New Orleans for ghost hunting and tried it but the TFM3 is too sensitive that the result was contaminated. Other than that, its a fun equiptment to build.

I like the results of this EMF meter is very sensitive .I give it 4 stars.now the installation can be more detail I used it for Paranormal Research and so far is very accurate.so I recommended this product .but theres a catch you really need to follow the
instruction manual if your new doing this type of project .do it as the instructions said .and you will have no problems. if you used it for Paranormal replace the lights bulbs with infra red bulbs they have it in radio shack is much better.because
it gets very bright when in use.and for the Price is worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Serious Radio Science Kit!, March 12, 2011
This review is from: Ramsey TFM3C Tri Field Meter and "Ghost" Detector Kit (Kitchen)

I don't have this yet, but I am trying to save money buy one of these for my electronics hobby field in electronics engineering and radio science observing. This kit explains the 3 fields around you and make you be self aware of these fields. Before you build this kit, I recommend that you go to your local library and check out Radio Science Observing volumes 1 and 2 so you can get a good understanding how this kit works, and that is understanding Electric, Magnetic, and Radio fields. That is how this kit works. It will detect lightning, static electricity, the magnetosphere, and paranormal phenomenia, radio frequencies in the ELF/VLF region. This kit is good for the VLF radio hobbyist, it's like the Sensors Lab from Forrest Mims, but detects 3 fields in one.

Quick shipment. I am stunned at how many pieces need to be put together. I still have not had the chance to use this as I have turned to our external reviewer to put this thing togehter for me. This is just too much for me to do and I have no clue what I am doing. If your not good in science or good with putting things togehter, such as I , get something else. Now if your good at this type of thing then its great. i do look foward to using it.Crossing my fingers.
