I really enjoyed reading this book. It tells a story of a 25 year old "spinster" who is content with the life that she feels God has for her. Her life consists of being a true blessing to all that knows her. Then a new man comes to town. What starts out as friendship may lead to alot more. They both have to believe that God has a purpose in everything that happens, in secret and in public. I just loved this book!!!

This was one of the sweetest stories I've ever read.

Rose has a pleasant life in Buttonhole, Virginia. True, people think she's a bit dotty, but she doesn't mind. She's content with her life, which consists largely of helping others. Then Garret Diamond moves to town to take charge of the failing mercantile. Under his capable hands, the store turns a profit, and all the mothers seek to make his "acquaintance" with their single daughters. However, it is Rose who intrigues him. When he finds out her secret, will this change things between them?

If the book's cover didn't say Cathy Marie Hake wrote this, I would've guessed it. It's funny, sweet, and full of Christian love, not to mention a bit of the romantic kind as well. It just warms the heart.

I really enjoyed this book a lot! Cathy Marie Hake is my favorite Christian romance author, and she delivers again and again!

I love this book and have read it numerous times. I love the reactions between Rose and Garrett as they get to know each other and he disovers her secret. I also like this author's sense of humor evident by the circumstances they end up in. This is a book that I recommend to anyone who wants a light read.
