BRAND NEW IN BOX. 4TH Generation Ramsond CUT 50DY, a 50 Amp, Dual Voltage (110V and 220V), Dual Frequency (50 and 60 Hz), Inverter Technology, High Frequency, Plasma Cutter. The CUT 50DY is the 4th generation of Ramsond line of plasma cutters; having evolved from the previous CUT50, CUT50D AND CUT50DX models. It is now equipped with DIGITAL AMP DISPLAY and INTEGRATED PRESSURE GAUGE located in the front panel. It is further upgraded witha fully insulated FOLDABLE HANDLE. It continues to utilize an UPGRADED GERMAN MADE COOLING SYSTEM. It has been internally redesigned to incorporate the latest high frequency inverter technology using V-MOSFETs made by TOSHIBA, along with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), the combination of which help deliver a far more constant, concentrated and precise current to the cutting surface. This leads to a cleaner and more uniform cut. Furthermore, as a result of these improvements, CUT 50DY has been substantially reduced in size and weight. With the Ramsond CUT 50DY, regardless of your training, you can achieve smooth, clean and uniform cuts on a wide range of surfaces and material (e.g. stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, copper, brass, aluminum plate and other conductive material) with minimal heat input and without distortion of metal. Ordered from Amazon on Monday and received on Friday. Four days from Michigan to Missouri is fast shipping.
This machine was packaged well enough to be air dropped if necessary. The outside box was lined with Styrofoam. The inside box was lined with about 1" thick foam that was made to fit the cutter.

It came with everything except an electrical plug which makes sense because it will work on 110 or 220 so there is no way for them to know what type plug to send. I wired mine for 220.
The first thing I cut was some 1/8 " steel. It zipped right through that. I then tried some ¼" with no problem. The next thing I cut was ½" steel. I got through it but I had to take it easy. I didn't have anything thicker but with my lack of skill I'm not sure I would tackle anything thicker than the ½".

I also tried some very thin steel and it did a great job with a low amp setting. 1/8" and ¼" aluminum cut with no problem.
I don't have a steady hand so most of my cuts looked pretty rough but the machine cuts so fast with no resistance it was hard to get a straight cut. Anyone who has used a cutting torch will know what I mean.

I still don't know how they can produce this much cutting power in a 25 pound machine but they did. I am impressed with the machines quality and performance

I was a little apprehensive to purchase this plasma cutter because of the price, but I'm so glad I did. Ordered on Monday and got it Thursday. Right out of the box (after attaching the air filter and adding a 115v plug to the cord) I was cutting 18 ga. floor panels for my 54 Ford Victoria. I was impressed! I learned to use a piece of angle iron to cut straight edges. I later cut 1/4 inch angle iron like a hot knife trough butter. For those whom rebuild cars, I highly recomend this cutter. Can't find better for the money.

Recieved in a timely manner. Works great with 110. Great for small jobs. Great product for the price. Cutting panels for patchwork for old cars. Play with the air pressure, and voltage to your satisfaction.
