Book Description

Sequel to RanDumb: The Adventures of an Irish Guy in L.A!

Rated #1 on Amazon Humor in the US and the UK!

Introduction by Robbie Williams.

From Beverly Hills mansions to Irish country lanes, super-yachts to side-alleys, howling cougars to psychotic nutters, stand-up spotlights to police helicopter searchlights, superstar highs to inner demon woes, along with so much more, Mark Hayes takes us on quite an adventure in RanDumb-er, the random but hardly dumb tales of an Irish chancer.

From one side of the world to the other, in and out of the fantasy of Mark's reality, all with a smile and a belly-aching laugh, RanDumb-er will draw you in and make you believe in the spirit of your inner five year old once more!

Go ahead - Open a Guinness, take off your pants (comfort is key here), sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Fast pace, quicker wit, time for you to join Mark as he tells his story of two cities and one dream. Ran. Dumber. On!

About The Author:

Mark Hayes is an Irish guy who now lives in L.A. Chancer. Prancer. Midnight dancer. Bestselling author of RanDumb: The Adventures of an Irish Guy in L.A! which has been rated #1 on Amazon Humor.

Praise For RanDumb:

'RanDumb is an intelligently put-together, often satirical analysis of the times we live in... a thoroughly entertaining read that will make you 'LOL' -laugh out loud - as so many have done on Mark Hayes' blog.'

'With his unique style, phrasing and word coinage, Mark Hayes introduced himself to us in his first book RanDumb as a kind of hard drinking, half-slacker, half German technical translator, carefree globetrotter finding his way in Hollywood. Very funny and a great read.'

'I've always wanted to give up the mundane day job, pack my bags and head for the promised land, but circumstances have conspired against me. So, when I heard of this book, it was a must read... I wasn't disappointed in the least. It was just how I would have imagined and more... Mark Hayes has shared his experiences of chasing the American Dream and I love it.'

Editorial Reviews

Review

"RanDumber is more than mere humour [...] In places it reads like rap prose, elsewhere like modern poetry [...] The lows are described with as much authenticity as the highs; there is tenderness, humanity and a sense of a young man determined not to have his head turned by fame." - The Australian Echo

"Hayes has a very interesting and compulsively readable style [...] You truly are inside his head and experiencing Los Angeles - and all the weirdness - with him. If you cross James Joyce with Jack Kerouac, add in some Terry Southern and Tom Wolfe with a slightly less drug addled Hunter Thompson, you have Mark Hayes." - Unobtainium

5.0 out of 5 stars RanDumb-er, a Prince among all books... March 24, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Oh my giddy aunt! Where do I begin? I was already a fan of Mr Hayes having read his debut book RanDumb in a matter of hours. So when the mighty news came of the imminent release of RanDumber, I was there, ready, finger on the pulse, to buy it. And I did. And it was just as I expected it would be. Absol-funking-lutely mighty indeed. So. I read, and I read, at work, in the car, in bed, on the loo, each time making sure my pants were off, as Merk himself recommends. And there were giggles, real belly aching laugh out loud moments, scattered with pauses for moments of reflection on the plights and downs faced by Mark on his continued journey in LA. This book is every bit as good as the first. Mark has maintained his ability to get inside your head so that you are there with him on that journey. Living the high life with him, and also feeling his lows. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you've read RanDumb, you'll know why. If you haven't, then what are you waiting for? Go for it, take the plunge. You will not regret it! The only downside for me now is that I have to wait for book number three. I know it's coming, and I will wait, knowing that there is more to come on Mark Hayes's journey to making it big (and bigger) in LA. Well done the Mark Hayes. Giddy up book number three!
