2.0 out of 5 stars Um, couldn't finish it November 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm about 2/3 of the way through the book and I have to give up. I really wanted to like this book. The story seemed very interesting and really, I think would be great if not for all of the repetition. At least 1/2 of the text is devoted to the same tiring repetition of both main character's pining over each other. They are hot for each other...we get it...we got it after page 20...we don't need to be constantly reminded paragraph after paragraph. The repetition drags the story down and causes it to move very slowly.

Too bad because I would really like to know how it ends, and with 2 brothers that each have their own sequel, I would have enjoyed reading about this family. But I can't bring myself to do it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read April 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author gives us characters that make us laugh and cry and wish life could be that much fun, once you start reading you will not be able to put it down since Rose keeps things in a constant chaos,
, they both find love and happiness though both try to deny it, and Travis's mom is determined to get grandchildren and will stop at nothing to do so, they draw you in and make you wish you actually knew them and could be a part of the good times that they have at each others expense, this book was superbly written and can't wait to read what else Sylvia McDaniel has to share, this is a book that needs to be in your collection of favorites

5.0 out of 5 stars bride book October 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Of course it wouldn't be a good book if someone wasn't trying the get the two people together that they think belong together. The Mom is trying to get her son married off and has found the girl of her dreams from him, She tries everything to get her son to pick up on things and he just doesn't. good reading and funny

4.0 out of 5 stars Quick, fun read. October 6, 2013

Typical romance novel, but was a fun and quick read. I liked the strong woman...especially since it was set in the late 1800's.

This book was really good. You will fall in love with all of the characters. I cant wait to read more about the family. After all there are still two more sons for Eugenia to fix up!! I truly loved this book. The author brought to life the characters. Whenever that happens I know I am reading something amazing. There are very few authors that I can truly say that about. I am now a Sylvia McDaniel fan. I am already reading the next book and can barely put it down.

I loved Rose so much. I like the business she was pretending to have. I like that she knew French. I like that she gave the main male character so much crap- overall good book.
