And I had to finish this book, it was like watching a train wreck - you know what's going to happen, exactly what's going to happen, and still, you can't look away. Shall we start with Melissa? The heroine who is so hurt, and angry after six years that she won't calm down long enough to simply ask 'why?' of the man she supposedly loved? I really felt sympathy for her at the beginning of the book - by the middle I just wanted to lock her in a closet. By the end, I was almost tempted to smack her around some. Then, there's the Wyatt who has serious problems comprehending the word, "no". He had sounded like a great guy - and Wyatt had his moments of studliness too, but they were not impressive enough to outweigh his rape. The plot? If you've read romance books for more than a year, you've read this plot at least 10 times already. And finally, the villain. One dimensional. If you can find a copy of this book anywhere, pass it by and pick up the next one on the shelf.
