Book Description

January 8, 2008

When John Randall swerved to avoid a broken-down car on a deserted Wyoming back road, the cowboy never dreamed he'd find a beautiful woman inside. But like a knight without his steed, the rancher came to her rescue. She was, after all, alone...and about to give birth.

Lucy Horton was on the run. After an attack on her unborn child, she'd had no choice but to seek refuge in the tiny town of Rawhide. But now her baby was making an unscheduled appearance and her handsome hero wouldn't leave her side. Lucy had no choice but to accept his help, his shelter, his strong shoulder. But when John offered more than that, how could she accept, when her heart wasn't hers to give?

2.0 out of 5 stars It's okay!, May 15, 2008
This review is from: A Randall Hero (Harlequin American Romance # 1193) (Mass Market Paperback)
I found this book kinda annoying unlike other Judy Christenberry books I have read. The constant worry of Lucy being a burden on everybody is definitely annoying and I don't want to give away anything but I don't think what happens to Lucy's husband is appropriate for this kind of book. On top of that everybody is taking care of the baby all the time without even asking Lucy if that's okay, besides the baby is sleeping ALL the time and only wakes up for feedings every 4 hours on the spot. Everybody who had a baby knows that things don't always go that smoothly. Being a new mohter you need rest but this was a little over the top.
Definitely disappointed by this one, was tempted to stop half way through and throw it out.
