This California combo has an original take on System of A Down-style rock, introducing Mediterranean cadences (most of the band members are of Armenian ancestry) into their mosh-pit-friendly sound. Combine this with the fact that their time signatures aren't always of the four-four variety and you've got an innovative approach to what's fast becoming a cookie-cutter genre. The band really shows its mettle with the folky "That's All" which successfully treads that fine line between worthy ethnicity and full-on, no-nonsense rock, while the stadium rocker "Bravo" proves Apex Theory fully capable of shifting into high gear when the occasion demands.
