Great Bedtime stories,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Random House Book of Bedtime Stories (Hardcover)
I have bought quite a few story books for my son and this is definitely the best one. The stories are a decent length and some are a little different than I have ever heard before. After a lot of disapointments in story books this was a refreshing change.

WONDERFUL Group of Stories!,

This review is from: The Random House Book of Bedtime Stories (Hardcover)
This book has stories that are not in the usual group of bedtime/fairy tales that we have purchased or received. No Cinderella or Princess and the Pea (not that they are not wonderful!). Lovely stories like Young Kate and the Snow Maiden totally mesmerize my daughter! Cannot recommend enough for 4-6 year olds!

I bought this book for my 3yo daughter. She likes a few stories from the book, but mostly not so much. The stries are mostly quite long and there are not as many pictures as i was hoping there'd be. Overall, far from our favorite.

It's never too early to start reading to your child and I read this to my two month old son. We sit in the glider in his room and read one story together before I lay him in his crib every night. He seems to enjoy just hearing mommy talk, which I love (and I enjoy the stories)! I imagine he will enjoy the stories once he is old enough to understand.

Great story book. Lots of lovely stories (some well known some more unique) which even 3 to 4 year olds can understand well and no need to make the ending 'happy'. Just the right length to tell one story each night. Both my boys love it!
