It there are times when you want a picture for clarity or identification, this book and series are great. It is always nice to see beautiful photos, but this book is more.

As a bulb-lover from way back, I think this book really is the Bible for any gardener who loves bulbs. The authors include details of where the bulbs originated, heaps of varieties of each type of bulb, and the growing conditions, etc that everyone needs to know to grow their bulbs successfully. I would recommend this book to any serious gardener without reservation.
