About the Author
Tom Andrews' previous publications include two books of poetry: _The Brother's Country_, a National Poetry Series winner chosen by Charles Wright, and _The Hemophiliac's Motorcycle_, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize. His memoir, _Codeine Diary: True Confessions of a Reckless Hemophiliac_, appeared in 1999. He also edited collections of criticism on two contemporary poets: _On William Stafford: The Worth of Local Things_ (1995), and _The Point Where All Things Meet: Essays on Charles Wright_ (1995). Tom Andrews died in 2001.
