5.0 out of 5 stars A great little double duty pan
This pan just arrived in the mail and I'm delighted with it. For years, I've been using a large, porcelain broiler pan that came with my first range. This new pan is ideal for everyday meals for two people. And it won't be a dishwasher hog.

I read the review that warned about grease sticking to the pan. Porcelain is notorious for that. But it's safe for using...

2.0 out of 5 stars sturdy, but hard to clean
This is definitely a sturdy piece of equipment. Very solid. However, I do not understand in what universe this could be considered "non-stick". Believe me, if you cook something with BBQ sauce on it in this pan, you will NEVER be able to get this thing clean. My new strategy will be to use foil over top. Hope that works better.

But it's safe for using with the high heat of a broiler. So I'll line the bottom of the pan with foil and then spritz the top slotted broil tray with cooking spray. That'll take care of the issue.

When I ordered this pan I didn't realize that the bottom piece is so deep and doubles as a baking pan. It's going to be helpful for baking vegetable dishes or desserts at the same time as roasts.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the Pan!, October 26, 2006
This review is from: Range Kleen Porcelain Broiler Pan with Porcelain Grill (Kitchen)
This pan cleans so easy. Must be the stick-free porcelain finish. I have had no problems with the pan at all and have broiled with it numerous times and washed since buying a few months ago. Glad I bought it!

I bought these pans (large and small) to replace my hunk o' junk Nordic Ware broiler. Like many of the other reviews that state this pan is not nonstick or easy to clean, I have had the same issues. It will work OK the first few uses, and then what won't come off of it will start to build up! The pan had a layer of "stuff" that simply would not come off, particularly baked on PAM spray. I finally gave up my many attempts at trying to clean it with everything under the sun including a Brillo pad and said to my husband, "Here, you try cleaning this". Smarty pants broke out the Simple Green and some elbow grease and 20 minutes later it was clean!! So I did not waste $50+! They pans work really great, and I especially like that the top drains off the fat. I do suggest that you get the pan in the sink to soak and clean as soon as possible to reduce how often you need to break out the elbow grease later.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to Clean, March 10, 2007
Throw away your other Broiler pans. This one is a cinch to clean. I wish I had it years ago.

I couldn't tell this from the photos- the lower pan has a hole in it! This is not a problem when you're using the top and bottom pan together, but you can't use just the bottom pan to place a roast in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!!!!!!, February 26, 2008
I received this pan a few days ago & it's perfect for my needs. I currently reside overseas & the oven sizes are about 1/2 the size of those in the US. I was looking for a broiler pan/baking dish that could fit my small 15 inch oven & this fits wonderfully! Not only that but it cooks like a dream!!!! As for the cleaning issue--I haven't had any problems. In the past when I have stuck on grease, etc. I just soak the pan in Coke overnight & it comes out clean. If you don't have any Coke, you can use baking soda & lemon juice or vinegar--works the same & it's good as new!

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for small famlies, July 31, 2008
This review is from: Range Kleen Porcelain Broiler Pan with Porcelain Grill (Kitchen)
I "love" this broiler pan. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I actually bought it in January, but waited to review it because cleaning was a big issue with the last small broiler pan I purchased. I have to agree with others who found it a little difficult to clean when using a sauce. However, with every day broiling, it practically cleans itself. When I DO use a sauce, I find that spraying the pan with cooking spray helps a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what it looks like, June 13, 2008

Perfect size for 2-3 person family.

Porcelain cleans up easily and lasts almost forever despite having abrasive pads and powders being used on them. Though I do soak them to soften things, sometimes the fat has just broiled on and needs to be scraped off.

I had one this size I had bought at a Sears parts store probably 12 years ago and was looking for another I use it so often. Ended up buying 2, one for a gift for a single lady who had seen us using this size and remarked about it. When they arrived, they were exactly what I had bought at Sears years before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rugged and heavy, February 14, 2009
This review is from: Range Kleen Porcelain Broiler Pan with Porcelain Grill (Kitchen)
I wanted to purchase a broiler pan that would last. I am not disappointed. This pan has a heavy porcelain finish that should last for years. The heavy gauge construction means the pan will not warp while in the oven. So far no complaints. A good item for any kitchen.
