Dr. Mercer Rang's classic text on children's fractures has been revised and updated by two eminent orthopedic surgeons from Children's Hospital—San Diego. Continuing Dr. Rang's tradition, Drs. Wenger and Pring provide a uniquely practical, readable overview of children's fractures, emphasizing diagnosis, treatment, common pitfalls, and communication with parents and other healthcare professionals.

This edition features over 400 new illustrations. New chapters cover casts and epidemiology and prevention of fractures. Elbow injuries are covered in greater detail in two chapters. New information on imaging and new MRI scans have been added. This edition also has a more user-friendly two-color design.

5.0 out of 5 stars This seems to be the XXI century "Blount text", July 1, 2008

This review is from: Rang's Children's Fractures (Hardcover)
I have read several textbooks on children's fractures, but this will become the XXI century "Blount" text on this field.
I recommend this book for residents, general orthopedist and even pediatric orthopedists, it is clear, easy and with a very practical POV about this vast field. Many people are trying to induce early surgery in children's fractures, but it sound like non physiological way. Iam sure, many surgeons will change a lot after reading this pretty text.
