A Fine Biography,

Mr. Marlow's biography of this little known Confederate Brigadier General was a welcomed volume. He not only gave a good account of his life but also included other activities and actions of other men and phases of the war. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the War for Southern Independence and especially about one of North Carolina's finest men who joined the ranks to fight against Lincoln and his minions.
