Editorial Reviews

SKYJACK. KIDNAP. A time-bomb of suspense has started ticking! Two nations are being held for ransom and Sean Connery is the agent who takes on: The Terrorists. Prometheus Records presents the motion picture soundtrack to RANSOM, also known as THE TERRORISTS, the 1975 thriller directed by Casper Wrede, starring Sean Connery and Ian McShane, featuring music composed and conducted by the great Jerry Goldsmith, performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra. Sean Connery plays Colonel Nils Tahlvik, Head Of National Security in a Scandinavian country where a British airplane has been hijacked by terrorists led by Ian McShane (DEADWOOD) and forced to land at the airport. Simultaneously, at the residence of the British ambassador, hostages are taken by another group of terrorists and they have ransom demands. Is there a connection? Tahlvik, at odds with his superiors, must come up with a way to rescue the hostages without causing any fatalities. Released once before on compact disc in 1991 with less than stellar sound, Prometheus Records is pleased to present RANSOM again, newly remastered, with much improved sound quality.
