Easily the best marinara sauce in a jar!
E. Smith
We like to keep some on hand for quick meals and when our local grocery stopped carrying it we had to go online for it.

I'm an Italian-American, who has been around for a long time. My Dad, from the Old Country, used to make the best gravy I ever tasted.

Over the years, I have tried probably every brand of Marinara sauce on the market. They all left me wanting......until I tried Rao's Marinara. It tastes perfect...wonderful...authentic. Read the ingredients.....everything is fresh....everything is natural.

It costs more than many of the major brands, but, it is worth it. My Father told me, so many times, never to be cheap with the important things is life. Italian food, and gravy, are important in our home.

My Dad is in Heaven now, but he must be looking over the shoulders of the people at Rao.....because their gravy is as good as his. (Sorry, Pop!)

If you really appreciate an excellent gravy, you MUST try this.

Ciao!

This is the best marinara in a jar we've ever tasted. We like to keep some on hand for quick meals and when our local grocery stopped carrying it we had to go online for it. Twice as expensive as the common brands but tastes ten times better.

Coming from an italian family that loves pasta, this is the best pasta sauce you can buy. It's tangy and delicious, not too chunky but not pureed and textureless either. And it isn't sweet at all, like Prego is. It's just perfect, and the only marinara I buy.

this used to be a 5 star sauce but they changed the recipe secretly now its just a 4 star. cutting corners and raising prices? i dislike their practices, but the sauce is still great...just not what it used to be :(

I will bathe in this in heaven. Roll in it and lap it up. Yum yum yum. Have I used up the word allotment yet. It's just sauce but it's Deeelish. Better to get it from the grocery store though bc it's a heavy shipment and glass breaks.

I was used to buying this at my local "high-end" market when I didn't have time to make my own...The price is great on Amazon, and looks like I'm going to be too busy to make my own sauce for awhile. Better than homemade!!!!

Why did you change the recipe?!?!!? I used to buy lots of these bottles for all my Italian recipes. Maybe I got spoiled, but recently I noticed they began adding more oil vs. tomato. I'm not surprised as they've gone commercial you can now find this everywhere at Costco and Walmart. Objectively speaking it is an above avg marinara but nothing like the original recipe and at this price, not worth it anymore. It used to have a very nice sweet plum tomato taste to it. Now it is a bit more sour and much oilier.

On a recent episode of the Barefoot Contessa she recommended this "store bought" marinara! Living on the west coast (Washingtion) I could not find it so I ordered thru Amazon. Excellent flavor! Although I normally make my own sauce I am not sure I could improve on the flavor of this sauce. As easy as marinara sauce is to make I think I found an easier way to enjoy a "new" homemade sauce!
