This is a nice set and the tools perform well. I catch and release at local ponds and the forceps have helped me gently remove several hooks. I took away one star because of the holster design. Due to the length of the velcro closure, the forceps go to the back and the pliers in front. If you pull out the forceps and don't reclose the strap the pliers can easily fall out. I usually keep the forceps in a pocket for this reason.

This set is wonderful for anyone who is a novice fisherman and enjoys having all the things he or she needs to hit the lake and catch fish. It sets you up perfectly and gives you invaluable tools.The belt clip is a wonderful way to organize the tools and the lanyard keeps the line snipper handy and also give you a place to attach keys or any loose tools that have a split ring. The scale and tape measure feel a little flimsy but they perform well. I would highly recommend getting this product for yourself or as a gift for any new fisherman.
