First Smallmouths
The Rapala Shallow Shad Rap has been a good lure to me. When I first started using it, it caught me a 25" 5.5 pound largemouth. I have caught many more largemouth bass with it ranging from 1 to 3 pounds. It was also the lure to catch me my first smallmouth bass and a 13" crappie. My best colors for it are perch, shad, and siner.

Holy Cow!!!
The reason that this is the only review for this product is because it is WAAAAAYYYY overpriced! You can go to your local superstore and buy it for four dollars less. The reason that this is the only review for this product is because it is WAAAAAYYYY overpriced! You can go to your local superstore and buy it for four dollars less. I love Amazon.com but they got it wrong on this item. This is a wonderful, I mean fantastic fishing lure, but if it is going to cost this much, you might as well take up offshore oil well drilling as a hobby and give up fishing forever..... not a option, by the way. Happy hooking!!!
