Totally addicted!,

Great game! Im not usually into video games at all.. My boyfriend bought this one and I couldnt put it down. After figuring it out - which yes, takes a few minutes, but isnt rocket science by any means..its a GREAT time! Reeling in a 95 pound Flathead Catfish was a blast! Unlocking new boats and cool lures is just bonus the fun!! I recommend!

A so-so fishing experience - the good, the bad and the ugly,

Warning... before you play this game you need A LOT of patience. In the beginning, as you are learning the ropes, the fish will more likely ignore your lures rather than bite at the line. In a half hour of fishing, you may catch 2-3 fish, if you're lucky. The graphics above water are pretty good for being a 5 year old game. Below the surface, they are fair. The fish try to jump when hooked which causes my TV screen to go into hyper-active mode and spazz out... I can't even watch the screen. Many fish come right to the boat... way too easily. Some fight, and when that happens, the game can be semi-enjoyable. Oh... before I digress any further... there is NO TROLLING MODE! You're supposed to maneuver down these twisting narrow sections of lakes using a 225 hsp outboard, but no chance to move along quietly with a trolling motor! Crazy... The numerous glitches at times can get tiresome. They include: virtually NO tension when reeling in a fish on the 1st round of a tournament... which leads to most fish throwing the hook; the character picking up the fish in a very strange manner - with his/her arm sticking through the body of the fish on some occasions (hard to explain until you see what I mean); and finally you have to basically stop reeling in the lure and make it come to almost a complete standstill in order to get the fish to bite... not very realistic! The number of fishing games for the XBOX is definitely limited, so I'm glad to have this one to try once in a while. However, it is not nearly as good as Bass Pro's The Strike. It is slightly better than the latest Activision fishing game. You may want to rent this before you buy, unless you're an avid virtual fishing fan looking for something else to try. It'll take a few hours to get the hang of it... but there are always some surprises with the constant glitches and all. Not bad... but definitely NOT great. Good luck!

If you are smart enough to know what fishing is and the fact u must experiment with lures, and are not the kind of person that needs instructions on a pop tart then you will enjoy this game,
It gives ya a boat a lake and some tackle, what more ya need, simple yet complex game that's a joy for hours, just listen to your own music.

After I learned to quips and quotes ,I have finished the tournaments and have enjoyed playing it. The boats were hard to operate at first but I learned to operate them.

Look at the "Product Features" provided:
--Buy with confidence! --Rapala Trophies X360 Wow what a description. This is one boring product. I expected it to be as good as the xbox "pro fishing challenge"-nope. I expected it to be a learning tool for fishing--nope. I expected it to have different lures in addition to Rapala (excellent product by the way) such as spinners, soft and spoon lures---nope. I just use the free fishing option. I hope sombody, if over 12, who enjoys fishing and the enjoyment of video games can provide and go beyond my exerience with this product. Oh wait, I forgot, graphics are ok. Also "Fun" is two stars not three.

As boring as real fishing,

The game leaves you with little instruction. It's just like the real thing. If someone dropped you by a lake with a bunch of fishing gear and a boat, but offered you no instruction as to what works well and how, you would be playing this game. It's slow, there is no action and the weather is mediocre. Catching a fish is slightly more boring than catching a real one and is extrememly frustrating when you lose it because you have the wrong gear because nobody told you any different.
