5.0 out of 5 stars Bang for buck
I fish off of Okinawa. The smaller X-rap would get consistent hookups for Wahoo. It pulls well at slow speeds. The deep 30 created too much pull on my drag while trolling. But the smaller lipped ones work fine. These are made in Estonia and the workmanship is good. Use a strong wire leader. They attract the fast, aggressive feeders.

fished four times in mackerel infested waters. no strikes, but caught other fish on drone spoons and other plugs. I did fish it behind a wire leader, but I did that with all our lures. Good depth and action though. I was surprised we didn't get anything.

Last season i trolled a lot of lures for albacore and without a doubt the X-Rap magnum 15 was the best consistent producer.

Early in the season when the fish would hit anything the X-Raps were nice as they didn't get fouled and you could troll them under traditional clones.

Later in the season when albacore become finicky they stop hitting clones and X-Raps or Cedar plugs are the only artificials they will hit...at this point the X-Raps were out fishing Cedar plugs by 2 to 1.

Fwiw I also tried the X-Rap 30s and they didn't work as well...not certain if it was due to the larger size or the deeper depth.

The Rapala X-rap magnum 30 is a excellent lure to troll for yellow fin Tuna,Wahoo,Mahi Mahi,Black Fin Tuna,Baracuda and Black Grouper. I know because i have caught all of these fish. The 30 is the best it dives the deepest.
