5.0 out of 5 stars Sub-Walk, November 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am very pleased with the performance of this lure.
It is excellently built and stands up to the punishment of the rocky rivers that I fish.
The tail dressing is a major plus and a good strike antagonizer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best inshore lure I have ever used, March 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have used these in Bradenton, FL for over a year in the Manatee River, Sarasota Bay, Tampa Bay, Braden River, and Gulf of Mexico. I have NEVER not caught a fish on any fishing outing. In one 30 minute session on the river I brought in 6 Snook, 2 Trout, and a Redfish. Was fighting Ladyfish off of it too. Simply walk the dog with it and fish will attack it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great Rapala lure. . ., October 27, 2010

This review is from: Rapala X-Rap Subwalk 09 Fishing Lures (Sports)
At first look this lure seems a little bulky. It almost looks likes something you'd see under the wing of an F-14 with the wings on the tail. Yet compared to Zara Spook its not too big. The lure casts well has great hooks and a are a good size already so no need to doctor them. The color scheme and details are typical Rapala works of art and they have wide selection to suit anybody's preference. The only reason I did not give this lure 5 stars is it takes a little getting used to as far as the required cadence to walk the dog. It walks really well with a fast cadence but its hard to manage a side to side glide like you can do with other walk the dog lures. But the premise of a sub surface walk is awesome. In cases where a surface walk is too much of a racket (like when the water is like glass) the subwalk fills the bill. It will pull fish in from a distance I usually have something chasing it on 50% of every cast and they charge it. You also need to tie a loop to the eye to get the right action on this lure or possibly add a split ring to the nose. So overall Rapala has filled a nitch in the fishing world.
