We have about four of these. My husband keeps two on the boat for bait fishing and I have two in the kitchen. They do not dull quickly. Comes with its own sleeve which is necessary as they are very very sharp.

Did not buy this on amazon.com, but at Sportsmans Warehouse for $17. It came very sharp. Not as sharp as a fillet knife SHOULD be, but a few runs through the ceramic sharpener built into the handle got it even sharper. Still not shaving sharp, but sharp enough to fillet without much effort. After a couple of minutes with "The Edgemaker" sharpener, and a few more runs through the built in ceramic sharpener, it shaves hair on the back of your hand just as easily as a fresh razor. Highly recommended!

This knife was purchased for an event but has now become a mainstay in our daily knives. VERY sharp and VERY sturdy. I am happy I made this purchase.

There is a reason why this is one of the most popular fillet knives. It is an excellent knife at a reasonable price. The handle is comfortable and provides a good firm grip. I have used it on 2-3 lb bluefish and it handled the job easily. Just be aware that you will need to sharpen it some prior to use. The included sharpener is OK but don't expect it to last.

I work in a restaurant kicthen where I am boning about 40 lbs of fish a night. This thing make it quick and easy. It didn't come the sharp but as long as you keep it sharp it will be your best friend.
