You may be in a French restaurant and hear "Excusez-moi". Right away you think "Excuse me". It becomes automatic. You actually think in English but speak in French (in the beginning).
We have also discovered that when you learn this way (by cranking up the stereo and repeating along with the music) YOU HAVE NO ACCENT. What happens is that the repetition develops the proper muscles in your mouth enabling you to speak the language properly. AUTHCOMMENTS; HISTORY OF RAPANESE
Rapanese was created by a French Canadian, ex-disc jockey, school teacher, Mike D'Amours. He started using Rapanese in his classroom of 25 students in 1989 to teach Japanese. By 1991 the Kelowna Secondary School, BC Canada, had to hire a second language instructor to cope with the five fold increase in demand. Since then Mike has been teaching French and Spanish, with even more amazing results. Who knows, maybe he'll get bored again and want to teach German. RAPANESE FRENCH SERIES 2 AVAILABLE

Save your money,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rapanese (The Musical Method Of Learning French) (Series 1) (Rapanese Musical Method of Learning Series I) (Audio Cassette)
This tape was a BIG disappointment! The reader speaks French himself and then has a French woman CORRECTLY pronounce the words. Who needs his poor pronounciation! He chats socially with the expert, having nothing to do with the language to be learned. He even chats with a technician's son. Additionally, his selection of words, phrases is most arbitrary and mindless. This tape is a waste of time and money.

THEY ARE NOT FOR EVERYBODY,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rapanese (The Musical Method Of Learning French) (Series 1) (Rapanese Musical Method of Learning Series I) (Audio Cassette)
It seems that people either love or hate these tapes, with not very much in between. They are only for certain people. They work for me because I have a bad memory and need lots of repetition to remember anything. I am a tax accountant and I can remember how much my clients owe me, how much their income was last year but I can't remember their names. People with my kind of mind can do math etc but can't learn languages. These kinds of people love the tape. I like the tapes because I can practise the words to the beat of the music.
