Wish I would have bought one of these when I bought my Reader. Charging it on the computer is such a joke! I bought this and I can not believe they do not sell it with the Reader...what a lame scam to make more money. Seriously I would have paid $20 more for the Reader if it came with this in its original packaging! The cord is nice and long so you have no trouble sitting on the couch reading from the Reader while it is charging (something you can't do when charging through the computer?!). I highly recommend anyone who has a Sony Reader have a wall charger!

This is a good item to use to charge my Sony reader if the computer is not available.

I read other reviews on this charger. We all agree this charger is the greatest. The power "ON" light is easy to see. It charges in no time. You can read while it charges. BUT, the cord is still to SHORT. It barely makes it up over the bed to plug in to my Sony Reader. The reason we buy this charger is to read while we charge. I would still buy it again, until I find one with a longer cord. RH

I bought this for the Sony Reader, when i received it the charger tip was not appropriate for the Sony Reader. So it seems this company sells different kinds, and then the customer gets stuck with the wrong one. By the time I realized it, we had thrown out the packaging so we just wasted our money.

I was afraid when I opened the package because I did not see a charger adaptor like I was used to. I have always charged my PRS-600 Sony ereader off of the mini-a usb cable it came with. After reading previous reviews I was afraid that the wrong tip had been sent to me like a couple others had experienced. I was ready to return the charger when I remembered there was a yellow port next to the mini-A usb port that I had never used. The #29 tip adaptor fit perfectly and I can now read and charge my eReader at the same time (something I could never do before). The cord is a little on the short side (around 3 feet long) but for 20 dollars this was an excellent purchase. I would happily buy from this company in the future. And who knows, in the future I may buy the iPhone adaptor and have one charger for all my gadgets!

What a shame Sony doesn't package this with the Reader. Charging my Reader with the computer USB cord that came with it sometimes took 4 hours. This little charger takes about 15 minutes, even if I've let the battery run all the way out.

It was perfect. I could not get this product from Sony (they sent the wrong thing three different times) and this one was ½ the price. Couldn't be happier.

This product sounded amazing but unfortunately would not work for me. I ordered the charger for by Sony PRS-600 and received it pretty quickly in the mail. But the tip that was included did not fit my e-reader. (From other reviews posted this is a common problem for this product.) The website would not let me exchange the product so I had to return it. I received a refund a refund from Amazon within a week. I ordered another wall charger from Amazon at a cheaper price that did the job just fine.

I bought my Reader pretty much explicitly for travel, and not having an AC charger included with it at purchase made that inconvenient. I was plugging it in to my USB port on my travel adapter, but that obviously prevented me from using it for other USB devices. With this, I can plug it into a normal plug and still use the USB charger. It works pretty quickly, making it advantageous to use this, instead of the computer charging. Thoroughly satisfied.

the rapid wall home ac charger for the Sony PRS-600 is a must purchase if you own this e-reader. I don't understand why it does not come with the reader, it sure beats charging from the computer, as well as being able to read while charging is taking place. great product
